What has a slip and fall lawsuit in common with a personal injury caused by asbestos, such as mesothelioma? Well, they are usually litigated by the same group of lawyers.
Clearly, one may rightfully question the legitimacy of comparing a slip and fall lawsuit with an injury caused by asbestos exposure. A slip and fall accident can happen virtually anywhere and can leave you with anything from a non noteworthy bruise to a severe permanent impairment, such as an amputated limb for instance.
Slip... Continue reading ...

Getting diagnosed with lung cancer is tough situation to deal with. I am not just writing that, I know how it is since I got diagnosed with kidney cancer, just seven months after my wife had received her breast cancer diagnosis. Lung cancer has the highest mortality rates of all cancerous disease and exposure to asbestos is one possible cause for people contracting this form of cancer. It is important that the newly diagnosed patient and his family learns as much as possible about his illness ... Continue reading ...

Cancer is still the number one fatal disease people fall victim to. And lung cancer ranks high up there among the cancers with the highest mortality rates. People who get diagnosed with lung cancer, are sixty years of age on average.
Over the past few decades, modern medicine was able to research and develop more efficient cancer treatments. However, the war on cancer is still on. We are far away from President Nixon's declared goal to eradicate cancer entirely. Alternative cancer treatments... Continue reading ...

Still, breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women in the western world. According to studies and statistics, every eighth woman in the US will get diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in her life. And every year, the numbers seem to keep going up. And because of this, more and more people get involved in creating breast cancer awareness in order to raise money to support breast cancer research. And in a way, it's a kind of marketing campaign. And every successful ma... Continue reading ...

It doesn't matter whether you are in the USA or anywhere else. They are all over the place, it's impossible not to see them. Breast cancer bracelets are everywhere. They symbolize a symbiosis of a fashion statement alongside a confession of one's support for the breast cancer awareness movement.
Breast cancer awareness bracelets are not the only cancer wrist bands out there. They are available in all different colors. And each color stands for a different kind of cancer. For example, there ... Continue reading ...

They are all over the place and it seems to be the new thing in the United States and everywhere across the western world. The breast cancer bracelets are omnipresent. It is almost a mix of fashion and demonstrating one's support of the breast cancer awareness movement. But cancer bracelets are not the only one's available. As a matter of fact there seems to be a color code involved. Each cancer has its own color theme: For instance, a yellow wristband is to support prostate cancer and the pi... Continue reading ...

A worker that suffers from a work related injury may call on a law that is called the workmans comp settlements law. This law covers two primary types of injuries.
The first category we will call "instant" and the other one "long-term”. Let's start with instant injuries first: as the name suggests, these types of injuries occur in an instant. They can be a consequence of a defective machine or a result from an accident, for instance. Here's a typical example: one of few of coworkers is dri... Continue reading ...

It is likely due to a lack of knowledge that a lot of people face challenges in getting a fair car accident settlement. Car accident settlements are never easy. Even if they are being handled by a professional lawyer.
Either way, an accident is always a nightmare to deal with. Some car accidents can cause severe damages to a person's health. After a car accident the victim might suffer from long lasting mental disorders or severe injuries.
And of course, most likely the vehicle was severely... Continue reading ...

After my wife got diagnosed with breast cancer, we immediately started to explore the field of alternative cancer treatment options. My wife was not against conventional cancer treatments, but she felt that there is more that she could do in order to help her body in its fight against the disease. She received three surgeries before the margins came back clear - that means that no more malignant cells were found in the tissue samples.
When we received the pathology report, it turned out that... Continue reading ...

Amazingly, almost 25% of all the people whoe are being diagnosed may have shown no symptoms of lung cancer at the time the disease was found. As for many other cancers too, lung cancer is usually detected incidentally during an x-ray that was performed for an unrelated reason.
However, the majority obviously does develop lung cancer symptoms and their direct causes can be categorized into three areas: activity of the primary tumor, effects of distant tumors (metastases) in other parts of the... Continue reading ...

In a way it's comparable to a corporate identity thing: an organization uses a symbol that people associate automatically with a slogan or the organization itself.
And if comes to cancer, I think all of us will automatically think of the pink ribbon, a cancer symbol that stands for everything related to breast cancer. The pink ribbon is something not only the women who have been identified with breast cancer can identify with. I think by now it has been grown into something that is much bigg... I know it sounds corny, but the fact of the matter is: either you went through it already, or you will go through it at some point. I have been there and done it. I am talking about getting a divorce.
Either way, you need to seek the help of an family law attorney. And make sure it's a good one, because otherwise you will end up paying more. Unfortunately, I know what I'm talking about. My first family law divorce attorney didn't do anything, except sending me monthly bills for her fees. Bu... Continue reading ...

Car accident claims may cover vehicle repairs, medical treatment, lost wages and some other damages and losses you incur during a car accident.
However, it is advisable to have a proper medical examination immediately after the accident if you feel uneasy at all, but if you are not in an emergency situation, the first thing you need to do is get in touch with your insurance agency for the car accident insurance claim. To get proper compensation, you need to know a few things before filing f... Continue reading ...
